Media Guide Advisory
COLUMBUS, July 21, 2009
Dear Ohio State Fair Media Partner:
The 2009 Ohio State Fair Media Guide is now available online! Visit our Press Room to select specific sections.
With great new attractions, amazing musical performances, delicious Fair food and so much more, the Ohio State Fair offers something for everyone. We hope your station / publication will be joining us for this year’s 12 fun-filled days!
The 2009 Media Guide will keep you up-to-date with our policies and all the excitement this year’s Fair has to offer. If you plan on sending reporters and / or photographers to the Fair, please pay special attention to the attendance and registration information on pages two and three. To assist us in our preparation, we are asking that each station and publication send us a list of staff members who will cover the Fair. This list should be on a company letterhead and include all reporters, photographers, crew members, etc. who might be given this assignment. This list can be faxed to us at 614-644-4501.
No credentials will be mailed prior to the Fair. A list of all registered media will be kept in the Media Center, which will be located west of the OHIO Gate on 11th Avenue. All working media should check in at the Media Center before entering the Fair. One of our staff members will register you and provide you with Fair information.
The Media Center will be open July 29 – Aug. 9 from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. Special arrangements can be made for early morning or late night coverage. Please notify the public relations staff in advance and we will accommodate your needs.
Please remind your staff that we only distribute admission passes to members of the media attending the Fair specifically for business purposes. While we encourage you to attend the Fair with your friends and family, we cannot supply passes for this use.
