2009 OHIO STATE FAIR FINE ARTS EXHIBITION

COLUMBUS , July 14, 2009
The 156th Ohio State Fair welcomes amateur and professional artists from all over Ohio.
The Fine Arts Exhibition will showcase 300 works of art and will run daily throughout the Fair. All artwork including paintings, drawings, ceramics, glass, sculptures, photography and more can be viewed in the Cox Fine Arts Center between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
This year's professional jurors for the Fine Arts Exhibition include: Iduna Boehning of Dreseden, Germany and Rosemarie Fiore of New York, N.Y., along with amateur juror Richard Aschenbrand of Columbus, Ohio.
Other programs featured during the Fine Arts Exhibition include special events such as arts outreach programs as well as musicians, puppeteers, dancers and street art.
Fairgoers are also invited to participate in The Ohio State Fine Arts Patron Program, which provides opportunities for collectors of Ohio artwork to add to their unique compilations. The program also provides artists visibility and exposure statewide, while allowing patron members the opportunity to preview and make purchases prior to the opening of the exhibition.

The Ohio Expo Center is proud to host the Ohio State Fair. With a spectacular midway, big-name entertainment, hundreds of exhibits and one of the largest junior fair shows in the nation, the 2009 Ohio State Fair will run July 29 - August 9.
