Detail: For the first time since 1999 The Action Sports Arenacross Championship will return to the Ohio Expo Center's Fairgrounds Coliseum on Saturday, February 6th 2010.
Columbus is where real arenacross originated and became America’s largest. At its peak the Columbus event played host to 1,200 riders as nearly 15,000 filled the arena for 3 incredible nights of racing.
From 1984 through 1999 the riders, the talent and the crowds were legendary.
On Saturday night February 6th at 7:30 PM Action Sports will return to rebuild the legendary event.

Detail: The Irish Dance Association of Columbus will sponsor The Sweetheart Ceili -A Celebration for the Entire Family, on Saturday, February 13th, 6:00 - 11:00 pm. It will be held at The Ohio Building at the Ohio Expo Center on the State Fairgrounds. The event includes ceili dancing, a dinner buffet & cash bar, youth activities and a silent auction. Entertainment includes music by The Kells with special guest Sandy Jones and a performance by the Richens/Timm Academy of Irish Dance. Tickets are $30 for adults, $15 for children, and age 4 and under are free. More information and ticket order form is available at www.richenstimm.com.
The event is a "ceili," (pronounced "kay-lee"), which is a traditional Irish party involving music and dance. Ceili dancing is similar to American square dancing in that there is a "caller" who provides instruction and calls the movements of each dance. No previous Irish dance experience is necessary to participate in the ceili dancing. The callers will be Ann Richens and John Timm of the Richens/Timm Academy.
